KBS Lines Up Three-Part Chuseok Special for Lee Seung-chul’s 40th Anniversary

KBS 2TV will air a three-part Chuseok special for Lee Seung-chul's 40th debut anniversary. The lineup includes a documentary, an entertainment show, and a concert broadcast. The schedule is set for Sept. 15, Sept. 21, and Sept. 24.

KBS is marking Lee Seung-chul's 40th debut anniversary with a holiday special on KBS 2TV. The project unfolds across three broadcasts, each using a different format to cover his music and stage work. That setup gives the anniversary a broad and orderly holiday slot.

A. Three broadcasts on the schedule

KBS will present the Chuseok special titled "Your Life Is a Neverending Story - Lee Seung-chul" on KBS 2TV. The project is divided into three programs: the documentary "Neverending Lee Seung-chul," the entertainment show "Delivery Came Song," and a final concert broadcast.

The documentary airs on Sept. 15 at 9:40 p.m. The entertainment show airs on Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. The concert broadcast airs on Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Together, the three dates create a holiday series built around one artist's anniversary.

B. Each program uses a different format

The first program, "Neverending Lee Seung-chul," looks at his 40 years of music activity. It also follows the flow of Korean popular music during that period.

The second program, "Delivery Came Song," features Lee Seung-chul with broadcaster Tak Jae-hoon and Girls' Generation member Sunny. The show sends the three to places with stories to share, where they deliver songs directly. The final broadcast uses footage from an August performance at Inspire Arena, with Emperor Band and large-scale stage production at the center.

C. A holiday package built around one career

The special is not a single concert replay. It brings together documentary, entertainment, and performance footage in one package, so viewers can follow the artist from career history to on-site interaction to arena-scale staging.

By placing Lee Seung-chul's 40th anniversary at the center of its Chuseok lineup, KBS is giving the holiday schedule a clear artist-focused frame. The key insight is that the special presents one long career through three separate TV forms, making the anniversary feel both retrospective and current.
